Boys. Bikes. Living. Learning. Loving. It's not all about the autism. But sometimes it is.
No, not Wednesday yet, but these pictures are worth a thousand words. Two handsome guys you got there!!!
Oh- they sure are handsome! I didn't remember that Sami's hair had gotten so red! Wow- they're just beautiful.
Those pictures are priceless! What beautiful boys.In the literature on Non Verbal Learning Disability (closely related to autism spectrum issues) they talk about "The Myth of the Overprotective Parent." What appears to be overprotectiveness is not -- it is us -- as parents -- adapting to our kids' differences (like impulsiveness). I think we have to honor that and not kick ourselves. :-) On the other hand, it is wonderful to see them take on more independence, isn't it? :-) The fact that it is hard won, for our "differently wired" kids, makes it even more glorious. It sounds to me like you have a wonderful sense of balance on this issue.
Oh my gosh, they are SOOO handsome!!!
